The next speaker on November 27th is Mark Cocker, naturalist and author of books such as Birds Britannica and Crow Country with a talk on 'Birds & People: A 10,000 year relationship'.

Notice - "Ken Garrod: Some members may have been alarmed to see an obituary in the EADT (21st Oct) for a Ken Garrard (also married to a Jean). We can reassure members that this was not a typo, and that 'our' Ken is very much with us! Jean and Ken have understandably found this upsetting, and would be very grateful if members could spread the word and scotch any false information out there. Ken is however due to go into Papworth hospital on Nov 2nd, for a heart valve operation the following day - all SOG members wish Ken all the very best for a successful procedure."
